Calcopa Massage School will launch its Myotherapist Program in early 2026. The 800-hour program has been approved for Financial Aid and is designed to meet emerging industry standards for clinical, outcomes-focused manual therapy. Enrollment will be open to new students and to licensed massage therapists seeking advanced training and credential expansion.
The program reflects a shift in how massage education is structured and delivered. As client demand moves toward pain-focused and function-based care, schools are being asked to prepare students for more analytical, assessment-driven work. Calcopa’s Myotherapist Program is built around that expectation.
Myotherapy focuses on the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. While it falls within the scope of massage therapy in California, it requires deeper training in anatomy, biomechanics, and treatment planning. Sessions are guided by evaluation rather than routine, and outcomes are tracked over time.
Calcopa’s curriculum is accredited, CAMTC-approved, and exceeds California’s minimum training requirements. Students are taught how to assess posture and movement, identify trigger points and muscular imbalances, and apply techniques with clinical intent. The program emphasizes practical skill development, documentation, and professional communication.
Graduates are prepared to work in environments where pain management, injury recovery, and movement restoration are central to care. This includes private practice, multidisciplinary clinics, and settings that support rehabilitative or sports-focused work.

The Myotherapist Program is officially approved for Financial Aid. All students may apply through the FAFSA® system to determine individual eligibility. Financial Aid availability depends on qualification and is not guaranteed. Grants, tuition-reimbursement programs, payment plans, and flexible scheduling options are available for those who qualify.
This approval expands access to advanced massage education for students who might otherwise be limited by cost. It also allows returning massage therapists to pursue further training while maintaining financial stability.
The program may be completed in as little as eight months on a full-time schedule or approximately one and a half years part-time.
Students will have access to externship placement opportunities, depending on availability and eligibility. These placements are intended to provide supervised, real-world experience working with clients outside the classroom setting.
In addition to externship opportunities, students must complete 30 hours in the Student Clinic and participate in one community event. These requirements are designed to reinforce clinical confidence, professional conduct, and adaptability. VA students are exempt from the community event requirement.
The program is CE approved, allowing graduates to earn Continuing Education hours for nurses. Calcopa Massage School is also approved by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Completion of the program qualifies graduates toward a CAMTC permit.
This structure allows the Myotherapist Program to serve multiple pathways: entry-level students beginning a massage career, licensed massage therapists seeking advanced credentials, and healthcare professionals looking to expand their manual therapy skill set.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and able to read, write, and speak English. An English aptitude assessment may be administered if documentation of English-language education is unavailable.
Students applying for Federal Financial Aid must have a high school diploma, transcript, or GED equivalent. All applicants are subject to standard enrollment review.
To successfully complete the Myotherapist Certification, students must meet clear academic and practical benchmarks. This includes passing all quizzes and tests with a minimum score of 80 percent and submitting completed homework packets for each course.
Additionally, students must demonstrate the massage routines associated with each class within the allotted time frame using proper draping, body mechanics, and hand positions at a minimum score of 90 percent. Students must maintain at least 90 percent attendance of credit hours.
The 800-hour Myotherapist Training Program is offered at a tuition cost of $14,500. The launch of this program positions Calcopa Massage School as an institution responding directly to changes in massage therapy practice. For students seeking advanced training, financial accessibility, and a clinically grounded education, the Myotherapist Program represents a focused step forward.
